Facebook · Instagram · Norwich & Norfolk
Facebook and Instagram ads for Norwich businesses reach a city of 144,000 people inside a county of about 916,000, where the median age runs from 34 in Norwich to 54 in North Norfolk. That changes how Meta ads should be targeted, how fast they wear out and what the ad needs to show.
Two founders run it, for £995 a month, with no contract.

Norwich and the rest of Norfolk are different audiences, and Meta will treat them as one unless you tell it otherwise. The 2021 Census puts Norwich’s median age at 34, below England’s 40. North Norfolk’s is 54, the highest of any local authority in England. A single campaign covering both is advertising to a young city with a large student population and one of the oldest districts in the country at once.
Meta doesn’t care about that. It spends where it gets the cheapest result for the goal you set. If older audiences in the county fill in forms more readily, spend drifts towards them, whether or not those enquiries turn into work for you.
The instinct is to cut them out, and it’s usually wrong. Excluding an age group or a district stops Meta spending anything there, including on the ones who would have bought. We keep them reachable. Once your quotes and jobs show which groups convert, we lower the bid on the weaker ones using Meta’s value rules.

Facebook ads around Norwich can be targeted three ways, and each draws a different map.
King’s Lynn is about 44 miles west of Norwich. A Norwich-centred circle only reaches it near Meta’s 50-mile limit, by which point it covers most of the county as well. If you work in west Norfolk, a separate pin there is usually the cleaner option.
Meta can’t show your ads only to people who live here. Its location setting counts anyone who lives in an area or has been there recently, and there’s no switch to limit it to residents. That matters in Norfolk. North Norfolk District Council’s tourism report counts about 9.4 million day and staying trips in 2023, for a district of 103,000 residents. A radius around Cromer or Sheringham reaches holidaymakers as well as householders.
A tighter map won’t fix that. Fencing in a few towns also cuts out residents who work elsewhere during the day. We qualify people in the ad instead. Put the area you cover in the headline (“Norwich and within 15 miles”, “North Norfolk only”) and the wrong people rule themselves out before they tap.
The opposite applies if you run a holiday let, an attraction or a café on the coast. Meta also offers an option to reach people elsewhere in the UK who show an interest in the location. For you, the visitors are the customers.

Instagram and Facebook ads in Norwich wear out faster than the same ads run nationally, because the budget is spread across fewer people. The same spend means more repeat views per person. The warning signs come in order. Frequency rises first, then click-through falls, then cost per lead goes up.
Three things slow that down.
Local Meta ads should look local, because the picture does part of the targeting. A photo of your team on a job in a street people recognise tells a Norwich viewer the business is nearby before they’ve read a word. Stock photography could be from anywhere.
Three things make a local ad work here.
If you don’t have photos, that’s fine. The Meta ads agency page explains what we need from you and what we produce ourselves.
A Facebook lead in Norwich is worth most while the person is still thinking about the job, before they’ve tapped a competitor’s ad. How the enquiry reaches you decides whether you can act that fast.
We usually start with whichever can go live fastest and test the other afterwards. If you can’t answer the phone during the day, AI follow-up automation is an optional paid add-on that replies and qualifies leads until you can.
Everything above is the Norfolk part. The rest is the same for every client. We set up tracking so conversions still register when browsers block cookies, send back which enquiries became quotes and jobs, write and design the ads, and send you a plain-English update each month. Jamie runs your account and Jake picks up the phone. The full method is on our Meta ads agency page. If people already search for what you sell, start with Google Ads in Norwich instead.

We’d rather show you real work than logos. Here’s what we can put our name to publicly today.
We run Facebook ads for businesses outside Norwich, across Norfolk. The set-up changes with where you work. A Norwich-centred radius covers the east and north coasts within about 25 miles. West Norfolk usually needs its own pin, because King’s Lynn is about 44 miles away.
Facebook ads can’t target only people who live in Norwich. Meta’s location setting includes anyone who lives in an area or has been there recently, and there’s no residents-only option. We handle it in the ad by naming the area you cover, so people outside it rule themselves out.
A Facebook ads radius can go down to 1 km around a pin or an address. The smallest radius around a named city like Norwich is 10 miles. For a business people visit, a tight pin can make sense. A trade that travels is usually better with a wider area and the coverage named in the ad.
Norfolk isn’t too small for Instagram ads, but it wears ads out faster than a national campaign. With fewer people to reach, frequency climbs sooner, so you need a varied set of ads and a steady supply of new ones. We’ll tell you on the first call if your budget is too thin to produce readable results.
