AI automation · From a paid ads agency · Norwich-based, UK-wide
You’re on a job all day. You finish at six, check your phone, and there are three enquiries from lunchtime. You ring them back and two have already booked someone else.
We fix that. The moment someone fills in your Facebook form or your website form, they get a WhatsApp, a text and an email from your business. You get an alert with their details. We’re Jake and Jamie, and we build AI automation for small businesses so you stop losing work to whoever answered first.
From £195/month, added to your paid ads plan. Tailor-made to your business. 30-day rolling.
★★★★★ Rated on Google · No pitch. No obligation. We reply within one business day.
Bons & Frazer is a Norwich-based paid ads agency run by its two founders, Jake Bonham and Jamie Frazer. AI automation is a service we add to your Google or Meta ads plan: we connect your Facebook and website forms to WhatsApp, text and email so every new enquiry gets a reply in seconds, add an AI assistant for the simple questions, and alert the right person to ring back. From £195 a month on top of your paid ads plan, 30-day rolling.
When someone fills in a form, the problem is on their mind right then. The roof is leaking or the garage door won’t shut, and they want it sorted. Most people ask two or three companies at the same time.
Picture two roofers who get the same enquiry at 7pm. One is having his tea and replies in the morning. The other sends a friendly message a few seconds after the form comes in: “Thanks Sarah, got your message about the leak. Can you send us a photo?” By the time the first roofer picks up his phone, Sarah is already talking to the second one.
Researchers have measured how quickly this happens. Harvard Business Review found that businesses who replied to a web enquiry within an hour were nearly seven times more likely to have a proper conversation with that person than businesses who waited one more hour. A separate study, led by one of the same researchers, found you’re 100 times more likely to reach someone if you reply within 5 minutes than if you wait 30.
Most businesses are nowhere near that. When Harvard’s researchers sent test enquiries to 2,241 companies, fewer than 4 in 10 replied within an hour. The ones that did reply took 42 hours on average, and almost a quarter never replied at all.
Nobody can reply in 5 minutes from the top of a ladder. So the first reply has to go out without you.

If an enquiry came from an advert, you paid for it the moment the form was filled in. If nobody answers in time, that money is gone, and the job goes to someone else.
Here’s a simple example. Say each enquiry costs you £25 in ads and you get 40 a month. That’s £1,000. If one in four goes cold before you reply, £250 a month is going on enquiries that end up as work for someone else.
Replying in seconds won’t win every one of them back. It does mean you get a fair shot at every lead you’ve paid for.
Sarah fills in the form on your Facebook ad. She’s got a leak over the back bedroom.
She gets a WhatsApp and a text from your business: “Hi Sarah, thanks for getting in touch about the leak. Is water coming in right now? If you can, send us a photo and we’ll take a look.” An email follows with what happens next.
Your phone buzzes with her name, number, postcode and what she needs. It goes to one named person, so nobody assumes someone else has rung her.
Sarah sends a photo and asks if you cover her area. The AI assistant says yes, asks when suits her for a call, and passes the photo straight to you.
After a set time you choose, you get a reminder. If it’s still untouched, it can go to the next person on your list.
She gets a friendly follow-up or two, at times you choose, and then it stops.
You tap one button. We send that back to Google and Meta, so your adverts learn which enquiries turned into paying work.
Automation answers your leads, and someone has to bring them in first. We do that too. We run Google Ads for people searching for your trade right now, and Meta Ads on Facebook and Instagram. We also run Microsoft Ads, TikTok Ads and ChatGPT Ads.
Because the same two people build the adverts, the replies and the conversion tracking, nothing gets lost between them. You can see which advert brought each lead in, how fast it was answered, and whether it turned into a job.
Automation is added to any of our paid ads plans from £195/month.
Every trade gets different enquiries, and every business works differently, so each setup is tailor-made. Here’s the kind of thing we’d build for your trade.
Roofing enquiries jump after bad weather, and a lot of them are urgent. The first reply asks whether water is coming in now and asks for a photo, so you can tell which jobs need you today and which can wait for a quote.
Leaks don’t wait for office hours. Messages with words like “leak”, “burst” or “no hot water” go straight to your phone as urgent. A new bathroom enquiry gets a calmer reply and a link to book a visit.
People planning loft boarding usually get three quotes. The reply asks about loft size, the loft hatch and what they want to store up there. Follow-ups over the next few days keep you in mind while they decide.
A door stuck open is a security worry. A new door is a bigger decision. The first message asks which it is, then asks for the door width and a photo. Stuck doors go to your phone, and replacements get your brochure and a survey booking.
Whether it’s an EV charger, a rewire or a new fuse board, a photo of what’s there now saves a wasted trip. The reply asks for one, along with the postcode.
These are big purchases, and people take their time. The follow-ups send useful things, like what happens on fitting day, and never “just checking in”.
Solar customers read up for weeks before they commit. The easy questions get answered straight away, and steady follow-ups stop the enquiry going quiet while they think.
Your quote depends on size and timing. The reply asks for the square metres and what stage the build is at, so your first call is a useful one.

An AI automation agency builds systems that handle repetitive jobs for your business. For a trades business, the most useful job is replying to new enquiries straight away, day or night. We connect your Facebook and website forms to WhatsApp, text and email, add an AI assistant for simple questions, and follow up every lead until someone speaks to them.
Most of it is simple “when this happens, do that” automation: a form comes in, so a text goes out. The AI part is the assistant that can read a customer’s reply and answer it sensibly, the way you would. We only use AI where it saves you time, and we check what it says.
A company that builds systems to handle repetitive jobs in your business automatically. For trades, that mainly means replying to every new enquiry in seconds, following up with people who go quiet and making sure nobody forgets to ring back.
No. We build it and look after it. You get alerts on your phone and talk to customers the way you do now.
It comes from your business, uses their name and mentions the job they asked about, so it reads as a quick, helpful reply. The AI assistant never pretends to be a person, and when someone wants to talk to you, it passes them over.
Not if it’s done properly. Customers get a reply to something they asked for, and at most a couple of follow-ups. If someone says they’ve sorted it, the messages stop.
Yes. Everything is tailor-made. We write the messages with you so they sound like your business, and set the questions, the alerts and the follow-up timings around how you work. If you want something changed later, just tell us.
Yes, both. We’ll check your website form on the first call.
Yes, if it’s set up properly. We use Meta’s official WhatsApp business system with approved messages, and we add clear wording to your forms so people agree to be contacted that way.
No. It buys you time. The customer gets an answer straight away, you get their details and photos, and when you do ring, they’re expecting you.
We give it your service area, your answers to common questions and a list of things it must never say. It doesn’t give prices, and anything it isn’t sure about comes to you.
It doesn’t bring in more enquiries by itself. It helps you win more of the ones you already get, and it tells you which ones are worth your time before you ring. Busy trades usually find that the most useful part.
From £195 a month, added to our paid ads service. The exact price depends on what you need, because every setup is built for your business.
Usually, yes. It’s built as an add-on to our Google and Meta ads service, because that’s where it works best: won jobs feed straight back into the campaigns. If your ads are run elsewhere, get in touch and we’ll look at it case by case.
Tell us how your enquiries come in today. At the very least, you’ll get 20 minutes of honest advice on where you’re losing leads.
